Become a Volunteer

We rely on hundreds of passionate volunteers

We Love Volunteers!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of RDA Victoria. From coaching to manning the sausage sizzle, people support RDA in many different ways – and we always need more. Whatever skills you can bring, giving your time to your local RDA centre will mean that more people with a disability can enjoy the therapy and fun of horses.

There are all sorts of people who pursue their special interests, and so I’m happy that mine is benefitting riders and I am contributing to my town.

What impact could you make?

RDA is a diverse organisation, and we are at our best when we bring together people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities

As a valued volunteer, you’ll find a range of roles and tasks that may suit you and your skills.

  • Side walkers
  • Leaders
  • Horse training & care
  • Coaching
  • Administration support
  • Fundraising
  • Events
  • Cake baking
  • Gardening
  • General maintenance
  • Grant writing

Volunteering with RDA should be rewarding and fulfilling – and we want you to benefit from your time with us.

We provide all the training and support which means it’s not just our participants who get the opportunity to learn new skills.

You have other people who come in and help to give them (the riders) a sense of achievement, a sense of belonging. It’s that community which I think is a very, very strong thing.
