Joining the Program
RDA Maryborough caters for adults and children with physical and intellectual disabilities.
Our riders come from school groups, local disability services and independent riders. We have structured riding lessons and riders have the opportunity to take part in Protocol Days, RDA Gymkhanas, Game Days and can go on to compete at State and National level championships. We also offer horsemanship for those who are interested.
- Lesson Fees: $2.00 per lesson
- Length of lessons: 45 minutes (approximately)
- Weight restrictions: 90kg (depending upon available horses and volunteers)
- Waiting list: No waiting list
Volunteering
Like any Centre, we require Volunteers to have dedication and a commitment to our riders. Some of our Volunteers are keen to attend Gymkhanas and Games Days etc. to assist our riders. We also appreciate help with fundraising activities such as BBQ’s. We attempt to have two or three social events during the year.
