Although RDAV Centres essentially provide grass roots programs, it is these programs that lay the groundwork for some riders to compete. All riders, at all levels of ability are encouraged to participate in our video competition and other statewide events in classes suited to their abilities.
RDAV registered riders are eligible to compete at State and National Championships.
For those riders wishing to take competition more seriously there are options to be officially classified to compete in Para-Equestrian competitions or Special Olympic events.

This involves activities carried out on the ground, interacting with the horse, horse care, handling and groundwork and also motor skills and cognitive exercises some of which are similar to our Therapeutic Riding Programme.
